P&ID Liquid Container

Explain the operation of the following system, naming each and every one of the instruments.

Solution:

In the family or loop 1 has a constant volume container which is connected to it a level transmitter (LT) that will indicate the level of liquid inside, this in turn is connected by means of an electrical signal to a controller level indicator (LIC) mont On panel and accessible to the operator which will send an electrical signal to a high level alarm (LAH) which is activated when the liquid level within the container exceeds the set limit.  The level indicator controller sends a data signal to another auxiliary indicator controller and a panel-mounted flow indicator controller (FIC) and accessible to the operator that is connected to a multivariable record (UR) and performs an operation of Root function.  On the other hand, the container has an output which has mounted a flow element (FE) that is a orifice plate and which is connected a flow transmitter (FT) which is connected by means of electrical signal to a flow recorder (FR) which will indicate L A quantity of liquid that is passing through the orifice plate, and which will be connected by electrical signal to the panel-mounted Flow indicator controller (FIC). Of this flow indicator controller part an electrical signal that is connected to a relay or actuator (FY) that contains a transducer (I/P) that converts the electric signal to pneumatics to be able to close or open the flow valve (FV) and to allow the liquid to pass through Container surplus.
